Digital Strategy
Digital Strategy
At Backpack, we start from square one with our team of edTech experts. Using deep learning and our proven system, we clearly define your project’s potential obstacles and opportunities — and proceed to pull apart the problem, using an extensive creative process to design engaging, usable experiences for your end users.

UX Research
UX Research
We start with a wealth of data-focused research when creating your project. Persona analysis, client interviews, engagement data, and our 20+ years of edTech experience form a foundation for each project, and the decisions we make from that data minimizes bias and risk. We don’t start our design process until we have a fundamental understanding of your user needs and the best steps towards achieving them.

UX Design
UX Design
We believe that the best user experiences should be barely noticeable to the user, and we take that core tenet into our edTech design process. A great UX design is instrumental to building deep engagement with learners and teachers. Our process is iterative and pedagogical, realizing that design belief through five key phases: Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test. Through this system, we make sure that the final product addresses your needs and is successfully adopted into classroom routines.

UI/Visual Design
UI/Visual Design
Our approach to the visual presentation combines a consistent design style with moving, transitioning, and responsive screen elements. Beautiful edTech design can enable better teaching, learning, and delight — and as we create our product UI, we focus on being both aesthetically pleasing and providing you with better user outcomes.
